Soya Malai Chaap new recipe 2025

SOYA MALAI CHAAP RECIPE

Ingredients

For Boiling Soya Chaap

  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • ½ tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida
  • 2-3 fresh Green Chillies
  • 6-8 Soya Chaap

For Frying Soya Chaap

  • Oil for frying
  • Boiled Soya Chaap
  • 2 dry Red Chillies
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1-2 Black Cardamom

For Curry

  • 2-3 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Black Cardamom
  • 2-3 Green Cardamom
  • 3 Cloves
  • 6-8 Black Pepper Cons
  • 1 inch Ginger, Julienned
  • 2 fresh Green Chillies, slit in half
  • 2 cups Curd
  • ½ cup Cashew Nut Paste
  • ¼ cup Fresh Cream
  • Few tender Coriander Stems
  • ½ tbsp Sugar
  • Water
  • 2 tbsp tender Coriander Stems, chopped

For Special Masala

  • 1 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves, crushed
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • ¼ tsp Black Cardamom Powder

For Garnish

  • Ginger, julienned
  • Fresh Green Chilli, slit in half
  • Fried Cashew Nuts
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves


Process

For Boiling Soya Chaap

In a kadai heat water, salt, sugar, ginger-garlic paste, degi red chilli powder, asafoetida, green chillies, soya chaap then boil it on medium heat for 10 minutes.
Remove the soya chaap from the water and set aside to cool down and dry it using paper towels.
Now cut in half and set aside.

For Frying Soya Chaap

In a pan heat oil and add dry red chillies, bay leaf, black cardamom and the boiled & dried soya chaap.
Fry it on medium heat until golden and crisp, remove from oil and set aside.

For Curry

In a kadai heat ghee then add black cardamom, black pepper cons, cloves, green cardamom and let them crackle.
Now add ginger, green chillies and sauté for a few seconds.
Meanwhile in a bowl add curd, cashew nut paste, fresh cream and whisk it properly then add in the kadai and keep stirring constantly for 5-6 minutes.
Now add tender coriander stems, sugar and continue cooking until ghee starts separating.
Then strain it properly through a strainer and add the mixture back in the kadai.
Add some water and bring it to a boil then add fried soya chaap, chopped coriander stems and stir it once and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
Switch off the flames and serve hot in a bowl and sprinkle some special masala then garnish with ginger julienned, green chilli, fried cashew nuts, coriander leaves.



For Special Masala

In a bowl add dried fenugreek leaves, black pepper powder, black cardamom powder and mix everything together then set aside for further use.
